[DGM] Let her name be..

... Alma " - Rei

So, a few days ago I had a brainstorming with ChikitaWolf and thus a few sketches was born, one of them was this which I fully finished.

Now, I'm not sure if they would be able to have children, so for now let this be some kind of half AU thing. 

Warning, contain spoilers if you didn't read the manga!


The story behind: 

As many of you, I've paired Rei with Kanda a long time ago, when we didn't know anything about the person he was looking for. As time passed, we found out it was Alma, Kanda's past life's lover. 
You and me too were shocked and surprised too. Since this way Rei and Kanda would have difficulities to work, I tried to make it work as much as I can.
Firstly, in my story, they never really had anything more than some kisses and mutual respect and love for each other before Kanda and Allen had the Alma incident. They weren't lovey-dovey, rather they found a shelter in each other and had missions together, trained and meditated together. Their love didn't happen suddenly, it took time to develop it, especially for Kanda.
Then, when all of this Alma thing happened in the manga, I've changed some stuff.

When Kanda goes back to the Order after Alma (the male version) dies, in my story, he spends a night at Rei's room to speak with her. Not only they didn't see each other for a long time, but Kanda has lots of things in his mind going on.
In my story, Kanda told everything about Alma. How much he loved her, how much she meant to her. Rei is shocked, but seeing Kanda being that affectionate towards Alma, she tries to understand it. She gives time for him to think it over, if he wants to stay with her, or 'break up'. 
Rei was still deeply in love with him, and Kanda had feelings for her too, but all of his past being brought up, it was hard. Though Kanda accepted the offer, deep inside, he knew for sure that he doesn't want to lose Rei.

Then, Kanda gives her a kiss and says goodbye.

Now, as my headcanon, Kanda made a grave for Alma in Mater. Knowing how much he loved her, it would be only natural.
When Kanda goes on the mission to find Allen, Rei visits the grave whenever she is around on a mission. She wanted to meet Alma. Knowing the person she love the most had so much love for another woman, she respects her. She 'talks' to Alma's grave, telling her about how much Kanda changed and grew up, telling her funny little stories that happened in the Order. She is thankful for Alma to love Kanda, and promises her that no matter how Kanda will decide, she'll always love him and even gives her life for him, if necessary.
 
All of this Kanda didn't know about, only Komui will ask him once if he knows why Rei visits Mater so many times. Kanda cracks up on that, having Rei taking care of Alma's grave, even though it should be uncomfortable for her.

So, since I don't know what will happen in the manga, but if it will ends good, in my story, Kanda and Rei will end up together. Kanda will NEVER forget Alma and his memories of her, and Rei will respect that, but he will love Rei just as much as he did with Alma, especially since Kanda is a 'new person', kind of a second chance for life. 

Many years later, they decide to have a child, Rei would like to name her (if it'll be a girl) to Alma, in memory of Kanda's past lover. Kanda really appreciates that. 
To their surprise, they'll have twins, a girl and a boy. The girl will be named Alma, and the boy to Yuri (a play on their names together = Yuu and Rei).

So, this is pretty much how their love develops and grows.

Please, if you don't ship canon x oc, or Kanda x Rei, I respect that, but PLEASE, do not bash me for it.
